The Sabi Sensuji teapot and matching cups were first designed in the 1960s' and was put back into production in 2007.
The horizontally lined pattern on the base of the teapot and cups are created by hand.

The teapot and matching cups are not a set, but each piece is sold individually.

Details

The history of Hakusan Pottery dates back to 1779. The town of Hasami, in Nagasaki prefecture is known for their massive production amount of pottery and Hakusan is the most prolific of the manufacturers. The company was lead by Masahiro Mori, who designed their most highly regarded pieces between 1958 and 1978. The company has received numerous Good Design and Long Life Design awards.
