Bunbuku was founded by Shiro Takeuchi in 1918 as a zinc ironware manufacturer, which started out making water ladles and buckets. With the incorporation of machinery and the improvement in product research and development, new products like coal buckets and watering cans were added to the lineup. These simple but durable trash cans and storage containers manufactured now are still made using the same processes at factories in Japan.
